A beautifully sculptural rose brooch, its silver stem curving gracefully upward to a single amber-set blossom, with three delicate leaf-and-bud clusters clasping the stem below. The rose head is formed from a rich, deep cognac amber cabochon, cut and polished into a rounded, petal-like form and cradled by curling silver petals at its base — giving the impression of a rose just beginning to open.
The amber itself is a warm, deep cognac-red, glowing and richly translucent, with swirling internal flow lines and fine natural inclusions visible throughout, catching the light beautifully as it moves. Its deeper, more intense tone sets this piece apart from paler honey or lemon ambers, lending the rose a warmth and depth that suits its romantic, naturalistic form.
Below the amber bloom, three small silver leaf clusters — each finely veined and gently curved — sit along the long, sinuous stem, which sweeps down to a secure pin fitting at the base.
