A striking oval brooch centred on a large, glowing cabochon of natural amber, dramatically rich with dark, swirling inclusions and fine organic matter suspended throughout — plant debris, fine filaments and small dark flecks scattered across the golden depths, giving the stone an almost landscape-like quality as the eye moves across it. The amber's warm honey-orange tone glows beautifully against the oxidised, near-black silver surround.
The bezel itself is a simple, elegant oval frame, accented at one side by a delicately worked silver rose in high relief, its petals softly coiled, flanked by two finely veined leaves that curve gracefully around the edge of the stone. The dark, oxidised finish of the silverwork throws the rose and leaf detail into sharp relief while letting the amber's colour and internal detail take centre stage.
